Interview on writing with Stephan Pacheco
By Samuel Drake
What is the most common misperception about you?
I think that because people, especially people that know me specifically, like my family, see me pursuing publishing, writing, and acting that I am seeking glory and justification for my life, but I only see it as the best and most profitable way to help the desirous Capitalist. I just believe, like all people, that I have a better way to help people. And it can be done without harming other people and seeking useless vengeance. It is one thing to fight, it is quite another thing to punish with the fury of righteousness.
What is it like in your mind when you write a book?
When I write I hear each character's individual voice. I have each character's individual thoughts and responses. I guess it is because of my acting background. I see the play unfold within my mind's eye. It creates itself and I just write it down.
How do you create the strange personalities of your characters?
I simply try to be as honest as I can about myself and how I would react in the situations I place these characters in. There are really only so many ways people react to things. If you let yourself be honest you can see how you might react in anyway that anyone else might react, depending on the methods leading up to the circumstance. I do the same thing with acting. I simply try to be as honest as possible with myself and so, I can find the humanness in all characters. Written by me, or written for me to perform.
Are you trying to insight a revolution with your book?
Of course I am, but I don't need to. It needs only turn violent if these militant police groups change the system of checks and balances to ensure their perpetuity, which they are trying to do by seeking immunity for all law enforcement. There are many people in the world that want to see the pursuits of power and militant authority stopped. Those that have created the power have also created a thin veil to hide behind and they themselves have created the climate and means for the revolution that will destroy them. My books and other writings show the path of Darkness, of power and fear, and they show the way out of it. My writings show how to obtain the courage to stop it, and how to display the wisdom to stop the drive of power and fear within the crusaders. I want to show people what they are, so they can make themselves what they want to be. It is the true meaning of revolution, a revolving back to the state of peace, to the natural desires of freedom.
Why don't you do more interviews? And why do want you questions in advance when you do do them? Doesn't this show some type of fear?
I like to make statements on things I have already thought out. I like to be certain of my answer. And this is not because of me. Western Society is so caught up on identity, and appearance. They are so caught up on the foolish things that 'define' them that if I give a different answer or answer in a different way people will attack me. They will push a million holes into my theories. And it is these people that think like this that I am trying to help. My mind and my identity are not important to me. When one is enlightened he does not need to remember a path to verify himself. I don't. Hell, I don't even care. But the fools care. And it is the fools I am trying to help.
Do you think referring to the system that had gone wrong as the Dark Society perpetuates the idea the Dark is bad, and so, promotes racism?
Screw off. To refer to racism in America promotes racism. It creates a divide and a contempt between races that isn't even there. If you travel around the world people everywhere think white people in the US hate black people in the US. In my experiences that isn't true for the most part. But it is in so much media that there is a huge section of black, often inner city, people that deeply hate white people. It is reflected in the huge markets of hateful racist rap music. So that culture that promotes power and money and fame above all else, no matter what, yes that is a Dark Culture. As much a Dark Culture as the wealthy manipulators that invade counties to manipulate economies and products.
Is it your intention to bring forth...
People have come up with the belief that they can create any sort of bizarre logic that they want to. Look at what has happened with the strange and extreme verdicts and court case twists that have been decreed. Logic is not creativity. Our entire society thinks its on a fucking sitcom where logic is subjective. We have failed sitcom actors running our country. Surprise but logic is a system of thinking, just is every philosophy. Philosophy is a challenge to change the minds of man. Every philosophy has had the intention to make man better. And most every real philosophy would have been successful, but man was too weak to accomplish it. So, I only present the philosophy and teaching to be able to change. I am not necessarily presenting the philosophy to change into, like so many others have. I believe the most sophisticated philosophy was written thousands of years ago, and it existed for before existence. I also think that philosophy is within us. And there are courses to the deep peace that comes from knowing this philosophy. Oh yes, and darkness is black. Sorry but that's logic. And surprise black people know darkness is black. And I hope that no black person is so insecure that he gives a single thought to it. That's Martin Luther King's America.
Why would people be angry about this book?
The story itself, a revolutionary takes on an oppressive government and finds peace in herself, would be well accepted. Hell, that's Star Wars. But Star Wars never got specific. I am specific, I directly deal with spirituality and government. I name some names, and tell the truth. Three things make people angry...Spirituality, Government, and Truth...If a religion is holy, does it promote or develop anger? If a government is not corrupt, it does not promote revolt. If it is the Truth it will always burn anger off of the lies and uncover the fear. We have to stop using fiction, we have to stop making jokes about it. People think differently when they think that they are supposed to laugh at it, it's not important, it's not even real. The issue needs to made serious. People know what is going on. And it will be stopped. Always, the tyranny falls. Always has. Always will. And hopefully some wisdom and real peace, eternal/inner peace, will remain.
Would a book of "Peace and Enlightenment" contain so much violence? Would the main character be so violent and sexual?
Of course. We live on Earth. On Earth we kill, maim, and make love and have aggressive, diverse sex. It is programmed into us to kill to eat and survive and to have all types of joyful sex (and yes sex is programmed pleasure by functional design). It is simple to see, it is rational and it is logical without fear or bias or emotion in deduction of the conclusion. There is nothing wrong with the programming of how we function. Man has become so fearful and neurotic that man is afraid of himself.
What are the key factors that make a Dark Society? What makes this society a Dark Society?
Lies. Fear. Greed. Power. These are the things that rule this society. Truth. Courage. Generosity. Humility. These things will bring the society back to Light.
Do you feel you write a lot? If so, why do you write so much?
One day I believe that I will lose all care for writing. I will move beyond my attempt to explain what I believe I am going through. So, I have to get out every idea now, for anyone that can use it. Others have done these things before me. It comes as a result of caring so much for people and knowing that one day you will move beyond the willingness to explain. Once you attain enlightenment you lose your ability to explain the majesty of the truth you have become. All works written on the path to holiness are not an actual account of peace or understanding or enlightenment. These things are unexplainable and lose their true meaning the second man forms a word for it.
Was the Girl insane?
To a lot of people she may appear to be insane. But all minds are erratic and unstable. And life is hard to understand. Her journey had to deal with these thoughts and this way of interpreting reality. I tried to bring people into her mind, into her journey, as she could see it, as much as possible.
What is the most obscure reason that you write?
I want everyone that I love to understand why I chose to live the way I did, I guess.
What is the most dangerous thing about you?
I write while I drive.
What is the most common misperceptions about writer's?
That we never work. I wish I felt like I never worked. It sure is a relief when I go beyond my mind and just see how much it babbles and babbles. And only then, do I feel like I am not working. My mind is exhausting.
In any system, no matter what it is, the only reason anyone succeeds is because they never gave up after they failed. Failure is what the successful endure.
