Trunks

Well, there are two Trunks, one future (who had no Father Vegeta and was raised by his deranged mother, Bolma) and one past (who was pushed hard by his Father Vegeta). Both insecure. Both trying to live up to the father they think they know. But both were doted on and both have the weakness of sloth. Future trunks is stronger mentally because he had to be, in his time he is the only one left. Future Trunks reached strength by using the technique of necessity. He made himself think he had no choice. Kid trunks is weakened by the arrogance of his strength. Arrogance leads to lack of mental determination and conditioning. Though both Trunks are strong physically, in the long run they will fail and remain trapped to themselves. Always secretly weakened by not having the open love of their father. Neither has the strength to understand that it is themselves which must find and approve of their path, and not Vegeta. In the end all opinions and adversity fall away and an individual has only what that individual chose to live.
